Often when I don’t have time for breakfast but feel I need to eat something, I make a smoothie. Smoothies are satisfying enough to tide you over until lunch, and you can whip one up in less than five minutes with whatever fruit you have on hand. This is one of my favorites. Makes 1 Smoothie
Juice of 1 orange (about 1/3 cup)
1/2 cup fresh blueberries, stems removed
1/2 cup fresh strawberries, cored
1/3 cup fresh raspberries
1 tablespoon honey
1 1/2 cups crushed ice or ice cubes
1. Reserve a few of each type of berries for garnishing the smoothies. Place the orange juice, the remaining blueberries, strawberries, and raspberries, honey, and ice in the jar of a blender and blend on high speed until smooth. Pour into two tall glasses, garnish with the reserved berries, and serve immediately.
